Alexander Meadows
Birds eye view

July 16, 7pm

Egyptian Art & Antiques is pleased to announce "Birds eye view", an exhibition of new work by Alexander Meadows.

Alexander Meadows' most recent body of work is aptly titled "Birds eye view". The content of these images untether the viewer from the gravity of their sense perception and narrative.

The paintings elucidate and curate seemingly unrelated memories into an entirely novel experience--an otherworldly pink horizon during a winter nightscape or a halo-ing of fluorescent light bouncing off a crisp polo shirt inside a Marshalls.

This should not be mistaken as nostalgic grievance, they instead impress upon us an astonishing sense of being alive.

Whatever these moments are for each of us, we've all had them. Just as we've all had dreams of flying, where one knows what it's like to look down upon oneself from above and wonder.

The show will open on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 170 S. Beverly Drive, Suite # 320, and will continue on view through Sunday, August 14, 2016.
